All our products are developed by our team of scientific researchers, biomedical engineers, champion athletes and sportswear designers at our facilities in Bayreuth, Germany. At the core of everything we do is a passion for innovating, improving performance and making runners feel their best. CEP is made in the lab, and brought to life by athletes.
Since 2007 we’ve been perfecting the translation of medical-grade compression into performance-enhancing equipment for athletes that benefits oxygen supply,
muscle performance and recovery.
In 2024 we brought our innovation to footwear, launching the Omnispeed. Our game-changing running shoe uses BowTech™, a patented kinetic technology that enhances the natural mechanics of the foot, measurably boosting energy return while providing a healthier run.

OUR HERITAGE
CEP IS A YOUNG BRAND, BUT OUR ROOTS RUN DEEP.
We were founded in 2007 by the minds behind medi, a family-owned specialist in medical compression technology, that has been at the forefront of its industry for over 70 years.
When we first started out, compression in running was a niche topic. The idea of wearing long socks, let alone compression socks for races, seemed strange and had never been tested.
Our founder, Dr Michael Weihermüller, had a hunch that athletes could benefit from compression just as much
as patients. On 1 July 2007, after nine months of testing, German triathlete Timo Bracht set a new course record
at the IRONMAN European Championship in a pair of bright white CEP knee-highs. The next day they were sold out, and before long there wasn’t a serious runner out there who hadn’t heard of compression.
The same unstoppable mindset and pursuit of excellence is in everything we create. Our medical expertise and quality of scientific engineering allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible, while our passion and drive bring our ideas to life. We are grounded in a commitment to challenging the status quo, a love for creative thinking and a belief that innovation never stops.
